Acreage north-east of the city
Llandilo sits on the Castlereagh plain between Cranebrook, Castlereagh and Londonderry — rural-residential blocks on a grid of long avenues, with remnant Cumberland Plain woodland through the area and open paddocks between houses. Houses here are generally detached on acreage, with sheds, and often on tank supply.

Leaf litter is the main event
Established eucalypts drop constantly, and they drop into long gutter runs that nobody enjoys clearing. What follows:

- Valleys clog and back water up above the tile line

Large parts of this belt are mapped as bushfire-prone land in the Penrith local government area. The NSW Rural Fire Service certified a revised map covering the whole LGA in December 2024; it shows vegetation categories and buffers rather than a property-level attack rating, and a planning certificate is what tells you where a specific address stands.
From a roofing point of view that makes three things worth attention: gutters clear of dry litter, metal guard rather than plastic, and gaps at the eaves, ridge and valleys sealed so embers cannot get into the roof space.
